I have always loved sport and became involved competitively as a teenager when I swam, played ice hockey for local ladies team the Sunderland Scorpions and became a member of the Sunderland Harriers. Running won and at senior level I was Northern 800m champion and lucky enough to gain an England vest, ranking in the top 8 in the UK over the distance in the 90’s.

Since my track running days I have competed in cycling time trials, cyclo cross, adventure races and triathlon and I currently have my sights on the 23km Cross du Mont Blanc and an Xterra triathlon for 2024 – both of which have been on the to do list for a number of years.
I completed a BSc in Sports Science a number of years ago and in 2021 made the decision to return to university to do an SENR accredited post grad in Sports and Exercise Nutrition. This qualification along with a Level 1 PN coach has allowed me to fulfill the ambition to become a Performance Nutritionist.

At the beginning of 2025 I was lucky enough to begin working at NUFC Academy. My role there as Performance Nutritionist sees me teaching the fundamentals of nutrition for health and their application to performance as the players progress through the age groups.
As a passionate foodie I can’t wait to share my knowledge and experience to help everyone be the best that they can be.
